How This Web Site Came to Be

Several years ago (1996 to be exact) our department got a new boss - Rich Weiler MS, RRT. He made what he thought to be a harmless suggestion - to substitute words to Christmas songs and give them a Respiratory type of spin, and present them at the December staff meeting. Being slightly off kilter, we jumped at the chance. Thus, as act was born. We presented songs, both Christmas and non-Christmas related at each December staff meeting from 1996 to 1999, and also gave "in-services" at times during the summer months. We also tried our hand at writing original songs. We decided to retire the act following the 1999 session, feeling that we had said all that we had intended to say when we began our descent into madness. This web site – RTLYRICS.COM - is composed of some of the better numbers we managed to come up with. It is our hope that you will find something entertaining and amusing within our web site. We have also included a text piece that outlines the trials and tribulations we went through when we submitted an article that was published in the trade magazine Advance for Respiratory Care Practitioners, which we call The Advance Saga, as well as a poem we wrote the year following our “retirement.”

This web site was set up and is maintained by Dave Howard and Greg Wray. All parody lyrics were written by Dave Howard and Greg Wray, and have been submitted to the US copyright office for copyright protection. We thank you for looking us up, and we hope you enjoy RTLYRICS.COM.
