Our
good friend soon will be leaving as you may be aware
He’ll be working as Disney World as Mickey’s concessionaire
He’s been working in hospitals since 1964
But after today he will be a treatment jock no more
We’re happy for him as we laugh and sing
Because Doug is retiring
No more 12-hour shifts
No more breathing Dow air
No more being called STAT
No more wheezing to hear
He’ll be in the sun all day
Cheers to him and René
And so we will try not to cry as we watch
him depart
Aloha from the bottom of our collective heart
And hopefully one day we’ll se if he can use his clout
To get us all in the park with his employee discount
Despite the heartache it will likely bring
Good old Doug is retiring
Nobody will be left
To assist the bronks right
Dr. Mayda is in
Quite a terrible plight
His leaving is a melancholy thing
We hope that he enjoys this final fling
The undisputed bronch assisting king
